Thanksgiving Fun
Well, it's been about a week since Thanksgiving, and I still haven't posted anything about it. I guess I'm just getting lazy. We spent the week travling to Massachusettes. It is supposed to be an 18 hour drive, but it ended up being more like 24 hours. It was pretty tedious. Jon, my sister Beth, my niece Samantha, and I set out on Tuesday the 22nd for D.C. We went out there to pick up my younger sister Patty. Weather was o.k. We had some snow in Penn. , but that's about it. We avoided a 24 car pile up in Penn., but had to sit in the traffic for an hour. I felt blessed to have such a safe trip. In D.C. we visited the Holocaust Museum. It was alot to take in, and I will have to visit again because we kinda had to rush through a little. After my little sister got off work, we headed up to Mass. We arrived there at about 4:30 am on Thanksgiving. We got some shut-eye before the big feast. It was a blast seeing the family again. Friday, we took time out to go visit my mom. Then we went to visit my uncle Joe in the hospital. It was a bummer to see him laying in bed hurt, because he is such a jolly guy. It wouldn't have been right to go all the way out there and not see him though. Saturday, I got to see my first glimpse of Boston. My uncle Mike took us all out to Boston and showed us a great time. We went on a duck tour (pictures included) and went out to eat. My uncle was very generous to help us make the trip again, and blessed us with a day out as well. He is a really awesome guy. His wife Marnie is a heck of a lady too. We stayed over at their house on Friday, and we got to visit with her a little and enjoy her awesome cooking. Overall, the trip was a tiring blast. I can't wait to go out again. I'm only posting a couple of pictures for now.
Later, Mary
